yes.. America and Canada do microchipping differently. America (to my understanding) has about 5 different brands each having their own different reading wands. From what i have read on here "home again" is the best and most widely used brand in the US, In Canada and Europe, we use an International brand... i believe that there may be different brands in Canada but they are all able to be read by the same "wand" ... this is the best of MY knowledge from what my vet said.. your best bet is to search microchipping on here.. you will get a LOT of info!!!
