It allows me to know if there are problems I need to deal with and also lets others be better informed. Not only does it allow buyers to beware, but how fair would it be to come on here and read nothing but good about a breeder when there are negative aspects I can't find out about as well. There are so many folks who are new to pet ownership and need help in finding good sources for pets with high standards and integrity. This is what will shove the bad from the business and keep the good breeders going. Just do a search for info on yorkies and just about 90% of the topics that pop are sellers/breeders. Misleading forums...those that allow for positive feedback but discourage negative, are bad for any hobby or business. I love this place and hope that folks are able to post with legitimate concerns when the need is there. Just my 2 cents. Marcye |
So that's where that cool name comes from!
I agree that this should be posted, but not in this forum. It belongs in the Breeders, Vets and Groomers Review Forum, which is specifically set up for feedback. This thread, in this forum, is so totally inappropriate. We're talking about 3 issues with a breeder who has a stellar reputation here. On the Breeder's Review Forum, the potential buyer would see these 3 problems and make their decision. On this forum, we have 18 pages and 262 posts. That's just not about feedback anymore!
This was a terrible disservice to YTers who use this site properly. It's very negative, nothing was accomplished and this breeder's reputation is now being questioned. As far as support from the YT community for those who had problems, that's what pm's are for rather than trashing someone else's reputation by a public posting.
Those with sick dogs always need and deserve support. That can be discussed without even mentioning the breeder's name. Again, the problem with the breeder should be posted in the Breeder's Review Forum so that potential buyers are made aware and that's a topic in itself.
