I think one of the doctors could figure out if it was ring worm or not. My son had it once. The doctor took one look at it and told me what it was. It looked like a cigarette burn. Same size same shape. I'm thinking that if a doctor has never seen lyme disease he or she might not recognize it. Maybe you should seek out a specialist. A dermatologist or something like that.
