It is the same exact cut I give Peppi, my cocker spaniel.
I use to keep her in a cocker cut but a few times a year she gets allergies really bad and she will start matting very easily. So I have been giving her this cut for over 2 years now and I love it. It is so easier to maintain and it looks so cute on them. I believe they call it a puppy cut for cockers.
Oh and I totally know what you mean about the legs. Peppi has only had her legs shaved or cut short a few times her whole life. She looks like a hotdog with four sticks like you said, it just doesn't look good on a cocker.

cool!!!!!!! i don't know why i didn't think of this before. it makes so much sense. i think i will keep the cut. it is so much easier than making the skirt and getting it even
