Whenever I got a new dog most of the other dogs accepted them just fine but I have a couple that didnt want anything to do with them. It was like they were mad at me for not consulting with them first. I swear they are like little humans so much at times. It took Callie months to warms up to the new dogs each time. SHe is the alpha dog of the house and didnt like them a bit. She didnt fight with them but would growl at them if they even came close or looked at her, and would turn her back to htem and ignore them the rest of the time. Now she is their best friend and thinks she is the mom to everyone. She has to keep all the faces clean and guards over all of them like they are her own. I think in time they will be the best of friends. You just have to remember to show your other dog as much attention. Always pet it first, feed it first and so on. Let it know it is still # one in your eyes.
