Your best bet is to just contact breeders in your area and ask them questions and find the best. When it comes to pets, even if you spend a little bit more, it's better to give healthy pets to others or else they might resent having to pay for vet costs (I read a Dear Abby about this a while ago, where someone gave a cat and the recipient later asked them to pay for the vet costs). If money is an issue, then adopting might be the way to go. Pets are living, breathing creatures who we are choosing to give a home, not only for our sake, but for theirs.
