I'm always concerned when i see pups loose or on laps in cars. Braking hard or being in an accident can cause them to fall to the floor, hit the dash board or even go out a window and be injured or killed.
I read an article about giving different meds to help them with nervousness and it stated that when medicated dogs tend not to be able to balance well and when cornering or stopping they can loose their balance and fall so pls make sure your pup is secure when medicating.
I dont think theres an easy solution, however in my experience I've found that with patience, practice and providing them with a sense of security they stop being car sick.
