D. E.is perfectly safe...we eat it ourselves w/ o knowing it , it is used all the time in grain silos to control meal worms & such...there are different grades of D.E. I only buy FOOD GRADE ..to us it feels like a soft powder but under a microscope it looks jagged, so it cuts a bug..
