Should I tell him??
As far as socialization: He hasn't been aroud MANY people and has never been in sniffing range of other dogs(before yesterday, that is. He's the smallest in the neighborhood and after seeing a minor dog fight last week or so, I really dont want to introduce him so much.) but Im not really worried b/c he loves to meet new people. When people come to visit or come to him in PetSmart to pet him, he wags his little tail so fast and is happy to see him.
But the funniest thing happened. I never knew just how big Peeka is compared to other yorkies. He's about 8-9lbs and is about as tall as my laptop is. Yesterday we were in Petsmart and this boy(I'm 19, this boy was about 13) was like "is that a yorkie?" and I said yes of course, and he was like "i knew it" and ran into the isle. All of a sudden, here comes this tiny little yorkie running up to Peeka. Peeka about had a heart attack. He didnt cry or run, but the look on his face was like OH MY GOD WHAT IS THAT THING as it ran around him, sniffing him. It was so cute and funny. He just kind of wagged his tail, sniffed a little and backed up like he didnt want to squish it.
He acted this way before about other small dogs. When he was about 5months(9 now), two dogs came up in the snow and he freaked out a little, and made me pick him up. And then there's this little white dog that sends Peeka into such a frenzy when he barks out the window, that we cant even walk him up there.
Big dogs dont bother him at all. Even at 5 months and about 5lbs he would try to bark a little at the huge dogs at the vet to get them to see him. Yesterday at Petsmart he tried to go to this big Husky looking dog that was up for adoption. Peeka is so funny, he runs from small dogs, but either tries to go to big dogs or just looks at them like Woooow.
