We do an x-ray every time. Now it can't show 100% that your dog can have the pups ok, but it really does help. You can see if there is one that is just WAY too big to ever come out or not. Our Paris had a c-section only because two puppies tried pushing out at the same time and her labor stopped because of it. No way to tell that from an x-ray if that will happen BUT you will know when you have all of your puppies and you can go to bed! Make sure they DON'T take an xray from the side - I hate that when they do that and you can't see anything. We alway request one on their backs. Hope that helps!
