My Alyssa used to get car sick every time when we would travel to Florida. The vet can give you medicine to help prevent it. We started taking Alyssa on more short trips and also bought her a car seat so she can look out the window. She seems to do so much better in a car seat and where she can see where she is going. We also try to make going in the car a fun experience. Now all I need to say is "go bye'bye in the car" and she is ready to go. She loves riding.

Also, when you left your dog at the motel she was probably afraid. It was not her house that she was used to and she started to panic. She probably thought you were abandoning her. She wanted to go too and be with you. I am sure you were having more fun than staying in that dark motel room.
