I would never, never do that to any of my babies. Barking to them is their way to communicate. I have a barker but I find the easiest way to deal with her is to start playing and distract her from barking. Most times she had rather play with me than to continue barking. Sometimes I think she barks because she is bored.

I think it is cruel and inhumane to debark an animal. If you don't like the barking I agree...find an animal that does not bark. Dogs are meant to bark.
