Does de-barking mean no sounds at all? If so, no way. My yorkie makes so very many intelligent and different sounds to communicate...yips, little growls when he's playing, playful noises, and ferocious "big dog" barks...that would be awful. Plus, how could he/she communicate in an emergency? How would he/she let you know he is feeling hurt or something painful? How would you know he was frightened?
No, this bothers me.
