When you use it on the carpet do you just spritz some on and let it sit for a while? Does it remove the odor? |
I have a SpotBot shampooer and I use 1/3 vinegar to 2/3 water in it. I think you could spritz vinegar on the spot and then shampoo or just soak up with paper towels. I like to scrub things around, so would probably use a brush and some spray shampoo with the vinegar and water and then soak it all up if I didn't have the SpotBot. Vinegar does remove odor, but urine is tough. I wouldn't guarantee that a dog couldn't detect the odor. I would like to remove all of the carpet in my house, but it isn't practical. I would like to have tile or good old fashioned linoneum everywhere with a throw rug by the bed and maybe a pretty braided rug in the living room, although I could get along fine without any rugs at all. Carpets have to be the dirtiest things we have in our homes.
