Hey, that's great! That IS the first step, and a very important hurdle.

Learn this: networking is good. Your friends can help you. (Someday, when you're in a position to do so, pay it forward.

Just follow the advice in some of the original posts. Dress nice. Be positive. Try to relax. (It's tough, but appearing confident is a plus.)

Oh here's a good one: Unless she hires you on the spot, write a quick thank-you note as soon as you get home. Those follow-ups show that you are more than polite -- and they put your name back at the top of their minds.
