Emmy and Oscar both have beds, but don't sleep in them at night. I do often "catch" them napping in the beds during the day.

My suggestion is to set the bed out and allow him to choose when he wants to get in it. Mine often jump in theirs with a treat. When the treat is gone, out they come.
