i taught morgan to walk with me from the moment we started going on walks. She prefers walking on my right, even tho i tried getting her on my left many times. I started out walking her on a 4 foot leash and kept her close to my side. Every time she would pull ahead i'd give her a little tug and say heal, or i give her a tug and do the Caesar "shhht" sound. That sound gets her attention and puts her back in her place. Its also useful in getting her off people's lawns and to stop her from sniffing in one place to long while we're trying to actually walk.
