Give it time. Since your Shaq wasn't around the dam, all he knows is you've brought a new pup into the house. I keep my sires away from my pups until approximately 12 weeks of age. They are allowed to see them through a gate. I do this to insure the pup's personalities don't suffer. At approximately 12 weeks of age I allow sires into their area for short intervals, but really don't allow the pups to run with the pack, other than the females, until they are over 6 months of age.
