Des, sorry about your comp. I had the same thing happen to mine. I had to reformat and wipe everything clean and start over again. I still got programming errors and it crashed again. I had two hard drives and it just gave up. I read somewhere that hard drives should be replaced every four years. I had way more problems than the hard drive so I had to bite the bullet and get a new computer. Don't you just love the new Vista system (despite many programs not being compatible with it yet)?
