Maybe stash a toy or two in the dishwasher before you bring her in there, then toss one out at her periodically. Once she is used to that, work on a different noise. Start small and work up. Stash a treat in the freezer just before you open the freezer door. She needs to learn to associate noises with fun things. You might need to find an animal behaviorist to help you.
I agree 100%. I have just gotten a new baby border collie from the humane society and he is completely afraid of people. I found that if I hold him in the sit position and don't let him move a muscle while a stranger pets him, after they touch him the first time he LOVES them and will give them kisses and everything. I went to a behaviorist and she said to hold him in one place, don't pet him though, and show him that other people aren't bad! So if you hold your baby in one place and have her watch you unload the dishwasher she won't be AS scared. Then the next time if she comes by the dishwasher give her a toy or treat. Then move to the next sound. This isn't a phase and it won't go away unless you cure it now. Good luck with everything!!!
