I used to be told that in order to get them used to someone grooming their feet that it's a good idea to massage their feet slowly and gently and then take your fingers and pinch at each nail as if you were going to cut it. Generally, they love to have their feet massaged especially in the center in between the pads. Spoil them rotten, I say!
