Not for some time. I couldn't control myself and offered another later and he said, "No thank you...did you do something different?" It was too much for me and I confessed. Luckily, he had a great sense of humor! He just laughed and teased me about treating the puppy better than I did him. He told me that he knew something was wrong, but thought I just left the sugar out by mistake or something and didn't want to hurt my feelings. Gizmo on the other hand was looking for another one this morning!
