Question Should I interupt?

Paddington is not neutered yet, but I plan on getting him fixed this month. He is four months old, and has begun humping his larger stuffed animals. I do not want this behavior to continue or develop into something he does frequently. Should I stop his humping when I see it, or just let 'im at it? My mom says it's a natural thing and just let him get his puppy frustrations out... I don't want him to think it is appropriate. Having a pet that humps is embarrassing... my cat used to hump blankets on the couch, right in front of company all the time! No one ever wanted to use the blankets or pillows in my house (for very good reason!!!!)
