Default Texas weather

My sister, who was born and raise here in California moved to Oklahoma about a year and a half ago in tornado alley stays scared chitless. She is now in Texas near Fort Worth. With all the storms around there lately she has been a wreck.
Lightening struck her roof and bew out there tv,damage their roof, hail has done severe damge to their vehicles. She told me lastnight she misses California and wants to move back so badly.
I'm not knocking the state of Texas, I love it there, not sure if I could handle the weather though. Many Texans feel that way about California.
