A smaller class is so much better. Mine actually went through beginner class twice since my Willie was much more timid at the time --- spent much of the first 8 week class time hiding under a chair or trying to get me to pick him up.
Both of their beginner classes were somewhat small, but I took them to another class while waiting for their intermediate class to start just for the socialization and to keep them in the habit. That class was full and had one dog with some serious behavior issues. Sure glad that was not their introduction to training classes.
A full trick class should be ok. Our trainer said it would be more fun based than the intermediate class. I don't know how many will be in their trick class as the trainer just set it for the time we wanted.
Can't wait to hear what tricks Sadie learns.
