I'm not an advocate of breeding anything less than 5 pounds. However, there are other determining factors that come in to play.....is she a line of free whelpers, when you do the necessary measurements....2 fingers, 3 fingers.....do they fit comfortably inbetween the pelvic bones, and end of anus and top of vaginal opening. Is she of medium bone and not fine boned. Also, you take the chance of her being impregnated with a bigger litter, does she have the room to carry a larger litter. And if she can, will she be able to nurse them properly......The sire and his line, has he been proven and what are the size pups he throws
