With Slade he was crated in my bedroom. I made sure to wear him out before I put him in the crate.
Laney did not want to be with him. Having him sleep in the crate and her in the bed allowed her to get some alone time with Mommy so things weren't so different. Even though the dogs may love each other the dog that was there first is used to having all your attention and will still want just some "Mommy &me" time without the other dog. Now that slade is more or less potty trained he spends some nights in the bed and some in the crate and he is fine with it either way. |
