PS The width is usually 4" wide (8" wide fabric folded in half), velcro on each end (opposite), the circumference of your pup with a bit extra. It may take two tries to get the right fit, so don't invest in expensive fabric. However, if you can make your own, the variety is endless - winter flannel, summer prints, etc.
