So...Luigi so far has learned "sit" and a bit of "lie down." The funny thing is, sometimes when I say "down," (and I move my hand in a downward motion), he'll kinda just go after my hand to chew on it OR he'll lie down and THEN go after my hand. I know it sounds silly and it's kinda cute, but does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do to stop it? He is learning to "stay" while in a sitting or lying down position, and I say "NO!" everytime he goes after my hand..but i'd like him to just stay there instead of going after my hand all the time to play/chew on it.
I don't use treats yet, just lots of petting and praise. Do you think the treats will help him to stay? I'm still in the process of finding a good, healthy treat to use for my puppy. I've already inquired about Yorkie Yummies, so maybe those will help when I get them =) I'll appreciate any suggestions you all can give me! Thanks!
