Our little furbaby girl will often throw up in the mornings before she has eaten and she won't eat in the early morning either. She never throws up in the a.m. if we've fed her something before going to bed the night before.

If you can't get your puppy to eat in the a.m. or if you want to get him to eat at night but he won't try this recipe given by someone on here who got it from their breeder:

1/2 cup instant baby rice cereal (you can substitute instant baby oatmeal, but rice cereal is easier to digest)
1/2 cup half-and-half
1 entire jar of strained baby meat (like Gerber) but not turkey
1 teaspoon of Karo syrup (or pancake syrup if Karo isn't available)

Mix the cereal with the warmed up half-and-half, stir in the strained meat and mix in Karo syrup. Use one of those plastic medicine droppers that are used for babies (you get them at the drugstore or the supermarket in the baby department) to squeeze it little by little into the corner of your puppy's mouth. Make sure it isn't too hot and don't squeeze in too much at a time. We've used this whenever our little furbaby won't eat and after a while, she learned to just lick it off the dropper while we squeezed, 'cause she liked it so much.

Good luck!
