Default thanks

Thanks for referring me to your thread! A lot of people posted methods to prevent it which I've already tried. I think what will put me at ease is... does my problem sound like it's associated with teeth growing in and the pain that comes with it? This problem seems like it happened over night, so something must be triggering it for him to go from the best, happy, loving puppy to an evil dog.

For an update. After I posted this thread last night: Usually by that time of night, Riley is tired out and lays down. Since this problem started he stays antsy and doesn't seem to be comfortable enough to lay. Because he was getting tired though, he left us alone and chewed on bones and his stuffed animal pretty heavily for the rest of the night. We've got him crate trained at night and have gotten to the point where he actually sleeps through the entire night... well yesterday was the worst day of his tantrums and he kept us up ALL NIGHT. He whined the entire night. We let him out a few times to take him to the potty area, but he just decided to lay down. So he was whining for another reason. I really think his mouth is in pain and that's what's causing his behavior change and whining through the night. What do you think?

We have an appointment with the vet on Saturday, but it's just for a regular checkup/shots. I am going to ask for advice there. But until then, I'm trying to figure out if this is a behavioral issue or teething?
