That's funny! Yes, Max has a couple of different barks, meant for certain occasions...his loud, yappy, frantic, high pitched bark is reserved for when someone is at the front door, or anyone (almost always the gardeners) coming into the back yard. Then, he's got his little "woofy" bark for when he wakes up at 4 am and wants us to wake up to feed him, along with when he just wants you to pay attention to him (which I suppose is basically the same thing)....and then there's a little louder bark when he does his "woofy" thing, and you refuse to do his bidding......it's funny, but sometimes when you've involved in a project, it's just a teensy bit annoying, LOL. Poor little guy...he needs a playmate for those times. He never barks at the vet's though, LOL....but he does nip at people who stick their hand at him trying to pet him if he hasn't approved them first, hehe...it's a little embarrassing when he looks like such a cute and sweet little guy and then he lunges at someone's hand if it's coming at him without his having sniffed them first, and the people yank their hand back in horror like he's some kind of a killer dog, LOL.....
