Third puppy born okay, she was due Saturday, so she was 3 days early. I guess the big puppy was 2-3 times bigger than the others. She called the vet and they said the fluid was normal at this time, but if it were showing and the puppies weren't being delivered it would be early separation of the placenta, just as you said.
