Oh, it was already concrete. By no means was it perfect, but we just put two nice coats of enamel paint on it, specially made for concrete surfaces
The guy at Home Depot helped me choose the right paint. You want oil based, it's tougher, but plan on using lots of paint thinner to clean your tools, or just do what I did and throw them away
Our dd's room is getting done in August, and we're going to do different colors on hers.
