I have a similar problem - they want each others food.
I asked the vet and she said - for the adult mix her food with puppy food. But do under NO circumstances give the puppy adult food =( The reason is there is too much of something in it and it will weaken her bones...
So I get a little worried when I hear you are feeding them adult food.

In Nature, your pets would not have the choice of puppy formulas, nor lighter formulas for their senior years; they would simply live on a diet of mostly meat and and some grain. In a natural free environment, animals instinctively eat more or less, depending on their age and activity level."
Come on - yorkies couldn't even live in nature, so that's a bad argument!
