I did not use a book OR a trainer -- I took advantage and tricked them

Teaching a dog to YAWN on command is the easiest thing to do. It isn't necessarily the quickest, but the easiest. Every single time you see your dog yawn say "Good boy, good yawn and give him a high value treat (by high value I mean a treat that he would kill for

) If your Yorkie just happens to be one who pays attention to you -- then you can reinforce by yawning..... Do this every single time you see him yawn and then one day he will yawn and LOOK for a treat. When that happens then show him a treat and ask him to yawn. You will probably be surprised with a yawn and a lunge for the treat.
With me, the biggest thing was just sitting on the floor with the kids and turning training sessions into play sessions with tons of praise and treats.
