You don't want to give only half of the heartguard because the medicine is injected into that meaty chew. It may not be evenly distributed in it. What if the medicine they injected only ended up in one side of it? One month you're giving the half with all the medicine and one month you're giving the side with none. It's best to just give them the whole chew. It's not like pills that can be halved and all
