I broke down and bought Paddington some Bully Sticks. Our trainer wouldn't stop recommending them until I did
He LOVES them. He will chew on it for HOURS if I'm not paying attention to time! Sometimes he chews almost a whole six inch stick in one sitting.... if I take it away from him and try to play a different game, such as his tennis ball (which he also loves...) he will steal my shoes!!!
I think he figured out that I will give him the bully stick whenever he chews on things, especially my shoes.
So, how long is too long, and how do I keep him from being destructive just to get his stick??? He is teething, so he may really need to chew things rather than being deceptive
He is just four months old. Nylabones only interest him for a minute or so.
