Mine stay in the kitchen when we are gone. I just put child/puppy gates up between the rooms. It is tiled and no outlets are low to the floor. When I have to leave them in there, I put their crates (without) the doors, toys, a little dry kibble, and a full bowl of water. Also there are several throw rugs on the floor (Oscar loves to drag these all over the room). They seem perfectly content in there. I do leave a light and the tv turned on. OH...AND A PUPPY POTTY PAD!!!!!
