That sounds like an awful lot. Sounds like they have a "practice" going. THAT is where the trouble starts. You find a vet you like but they are not always the one you
get when you visit ... and you spend 15 minutes going over the dog's history because this vet has never seen them before.
We go through that a lot. Unless it's an emergency situation, I always try to see if our doc is working and can see us. The times that we haven't have not been all that far off of your experience. And we invariably would get the evil eye because we "homecook." (Yeah, after that wheat gluten crap try tellin' me there is something wrong with what I'm doing NOW.

) Our vet knows we do and has always encouraged us to.
You really do need to have someone who you can trust. So, if you are not comfortable where you are, do some digging. Ask others in your area who their vet is. Do online searching by name and see what comes up.
