Many puppies are sore and tired after shots. I would just keep an eye on him. So far as neutering, a lot of vets wait until 6 months but there are a lot out there that will do early spaying and neutering. I know some vets will neuter after your puppy is at least 2lbs. If I had a male I'd want to neuter as early as possible too.
