i had the same problem with frankie when he was young and i got lots of good advice on here about demating tools. however his matts were quite bad and close to the skin and was very painfull to try to remove. he would cry and cry like i was killing him. i took him to a groomer and she said the same thing it was way too painfull to dematt him so we shaved him down. now i just brush him a little bit every day and hasnt matted again. i know its hard to shave them but really its just hair and it grows back! hes much happier and so am i. plus he actualy looked kinda cute shaved! with his little pin head and big ears lol good luck with you baby!
