Like I said before the reason we got him is because his instinct for hunting were horrible he'd rather play. We do have a cat who does just fine. We at one point had a rabbit and Lucas went up to him sniffed him looked at him and walked away.. When hes outside is when his instict or maybe just beasgle inuition leads him to try and find where the scent leads to. He has gotten loose before chasing after a rabbit. All he did was chase it then he lost it and comes back hes not that overly must get rabbit must kill rabbit kind of dog. Hes never bitten or growled at anything. We think that if a person broke into the house he would just run up to them and try to play. His instinct ends at sniffing. Its just the way he is. He is too friendly to do anything. He has been introduced to all kinds of dogs shelties, rotties, a mini schnauzer, a boxer and I'm sure more.
