Today was very traumatic for us. My husband & I went grocery shopping and went to the basement to put stuff in the freezer. Gidget never goes need the basement steps, as I was coming up the stairs there she was. We do not have backs on the steps and she fell through about 8 ft on the hard concrete. She was yelping and screaming and dazed. We rushed her to the emergency vet which is 45 monutes away and on the way there she started vomiting over and over then foaming at the mouth. I thought she was going to die. It was so horrible. She is ok. The vet said it was the trauma from the fall and the car ride. There was another yorkie baby there 4 months 2 1/2 lbs couldn't go potty. He was so sweet. All is well and we are going to put backs on the steps. We do have to watch Gidget for awhile though.
