 An update!
Just an update on Spike - he was a bit lethargic yesterday and this morning, so he went to the vet to get checked out. Apparently he does have an infection - the vet thinks it was caused by the knot from his neuter stitches. Apparently the knot takes longer to dissolve (if your vet uses the absorbable stitches), and it started to irritate him and became infected. Anyway, he's on Clavamox (an antibiotic), and I'm supposed to apply some ointment and keep him from licking. Total vet cost - $17! I am happy and relieved - I was getting a somewhat worried about the little guy! |
