I use covered hair elastics just like I use for my hair. I found them at CVS and they are a tiny version of the regular "ouchless" ones. Sammy rips them out and they don't pull her hair out. So, they stay in probably 1/2 the day when a rubber band would last all day, but at least they don't rip her hair out.
I have some extras - we tend to only use the purple and red ones. PM me your address and I'll mail you some. I don't have a picture right now, but I can post one when I get home. That's what is in Sammy's hair in my avatar. |
