As a member of the an all breed club and the National Club, I will disagree with you. The national club requires sponsorship and not an easy club to get into. If members are found committing infractions on the Code of Ethics or AKC rules they are suspended or banned.
Granted there are those that slip through the cracks, but it is dependent on the membership to keep things honest.
