Start taking her temp twice a day. It usually drops to 98-99 24 hours prior to whelping.
She may also be very uncomfortable, stare at you, dig in her box, or not want to eat, she may also have a clear discharge. When she starts labor dig, she will shake, and pant and lick herself. Thats when you know she is starting hard labor. Keep your eyes open for any distress. If she pushes hard for an hour with no sign of a pup, its time to get ahold of the vet.
