I would advise you to call the vet in the morning. Please do not give her anything over the counter. Are you sure it is a round worm, and not a segment from a tapeworm? If you can see the worm, place the poop in a plastic bag and show it to the vet. Round worms look like spaghetti, tapeworm is about the size of a piece of cooked rice but "puffed" up.

Good luck and with the right medicine, they will be gone. Your pup should have been wormed. However, if they ingest a flea, they get a tapeworm.

Worms and fleas are part of their ongoing life unfortunately. I don't like either, ugh! Google canine worms and you will see pictures of various worms.
