the meds.mirtazapine when I read about it, it says will make dog hungry.
Any HELp would be helpful..... |
the meds dexter was on for pancreatitis was metronidazole, metoclopramide, pepcid (famotidine) of the top of my head - he had it severe so he was hospitalized - better for them to be hospitalized if they have it as they should not have food for 48-72 hours threw the mouth only intravenously as the pancreas needs time to calm down and any food upsets it so all medications he had were given through iv not through the mouth. He started with a mild case and got worse because he was not on 24 hour fluids
is yours lethargic as dexter was real lethargic too
I would look for an internal medicine doctor not a vet at this point so yours does not relapse or get worse because dexter seemed good for 5 days then it came back with a vengeance and pancreatitis can be deadly - read my posts as i talk alot about it - very costly if you do not kick it the first time
